About

About Emma MacDonald

Emma’s early years in Australia fostered a love of swimming and 10 years ago she decided to turn her passion into a career. She set up Swim Dynamics and has since coached thousands of swimmers from complete beginners to age group triathletes. It was during Covid that Emma saw how much of an impact not being able to swim was having on people. As soon as the local lido opened up (unheated) Emma started running cold water swim sessions and they were so popular that every session was sold out for weeks! In 2022 Emma and her husband John moved back to Mull with their two boys and set up Wild Hebridean Swimming.

Emma believes that everyone should have the opportunity to learn how to swim without fear of judgement or intimidation. She is passionate about breaking down barriers so that people of all ages, at different life stages and from diverse backgrounds, can learn how to swim and enjoy the benefits that swimming provides.
